Roger Clarke, managing director of Performance Tyres says: "When I arrived here 16 months ago I was faced with a legacy system that could not meet our basic financial reporting requirements. With the Linksoft suite, we have a system that is light years ahead of what we had."
"The new system has already paid for itself," continues Mr Clarke, "we have improved management of our stock holding, order and delivery systems, which has helped us to double our turnover in July and do even better in August".

Once Performance Tyres decided to deploy a completely new system, a variety of product offerings were explored such as Oracle and the new Accpac system. Performance Tyres elected to go with Linksoft mainly because it met its specifications and because of the confidence its referees expressed in the system.
"After we gave the go ahead the installation took less than four months. Resistance to the new system was minimal because it is such a vast improvement on what we had. In fact, having improved access to information has made it easier for us to improve our job performance and that has led to a lifting of morale within the company."

By tracking the average cost Performance Tyres can ensure that pricing is up to the minute and together with stock-on-hand information, it can provide higher levels of service.
"From a marketing perspective having access to timely sales and marketing information has helped us to give customers the kind of service that distinguishes us from the competition."
"Our next step will be to web-enable the system using Pick`s FlashConnect as we plan to introduce on-line ordering for ourselves and for our clients," concludes Mr Clarke.
