Ixchange has combined its Value Ixchange and AccountAbility offerings to create ProfitAbility, an integrated sales order and distribution management and financial management offering.
"While Value Ixchange was regarded as a leading offering in its market sector, it lacked a general ledger, cashbook or fixed assets modules," says Johan Buys, enterprise management software director at Ixchange. "The value of ProfitAbility for customers in the distribution market is that they now have an end-to-end solution."
ProfitAbility has the look and feel of Value Ixchange and the underpinnings and robustness of AccountAbility, the financial software suite developed by Hill Cunnington. Like all Ixchange applications, it runs against Microsoft SQL Server on Windows NT.
"Customers in our target markets now have total operational management, tied to total financial control," says Andre van Vuuren, ProfitAbility business development manager. "On the one hand they can manage the entire distribution process, from quotation, taking on a sales order, producing a picking slip and delivering the product; and on the other side they have full financial control of their business, with the two products integrated seamlessly."
ProfitAbility offers total supply chain management, including demand planning, inventory policy management, inventory strategy modelling, and purchase order management, integrated with financial management.
Ixchange`s target market with ProftAbility is companies with distributgion order entry requirements; those with high sales volumes and a large number of stock items, and distributors with multiple sales order entry channels.
