ITWeb Security Summit 2008 at Vodaworld last week saw the unveiling of Chameleon Secure Solutions, a privately funded IT security company based in Bryanston.
The company, showcasing its C - 90 Appliance as part of the C - 360 Series Security Appliance, was launched during the Security Summit, attracting enormous interest.
"It has been an exciting journey developing something from scratch to a product competing with the best industry has to offer," says Henry Peens, Sales and Marketing Director.
"When we envisaged this dream 14 months back to build an enterprise-ready, robust security appliance, we didn't expect to receive so much support, input and encouragement from the South African IT community, but our vision to put love, passion and commitment back into IT security and to have fun while doing so made the journey worth it," adds Peens.
The C - 90 Security Appliance offers enterprise-wide vulnerability management and change detection capabilities. "Vulnerabilities and changes have a direct impact on business and that is why we developed an appliance with functionalities focused on business impact," says Reinhard Behrens, Software Solutions Director.
The emphasis on compliance to various international standards like PCI (Payment Card Industry) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) have highlighted the necessity for vulnerability management and change detection.
