New standard in navigation for B2B e-commerce catalogues set by AccessweB

ASYST International SA, the sole South African distributor for Access Accounting Ltd, has announced that a unique new navigation feature has been added to the AccessweB standard-packaged e-commerce solution from Access Accounting Ltd.

Catalogue items can be categorised by departments, areas within departments and then further sub-sections up to a maximum of eight levels deep. A picture or graphic can be used to illustrate each level, enabling shoppers to drill down through a pictorial index.

This new navigation feature makes AccessweB catalogues unique in appearance and extremely intuitive for on-line shoppers. They can now easily find the item that they want to buy, as a `picture paints a thousand words`.

This new feature allows users of low cost packaged software to easily emulate the functionality of expensive custom sites.

This new feature is available free of charge as an upgrade to all existing AccessweB users and can be used to enhance existing web shops.

The basic AccessweB e-commerce package is for a catalogue with capacity for 2,000 items and the ability to sell with on line credit card authorisation or in Account in Access Accounts software. It can be extended in blocks of 1,000 items.

The basic e-commerce package can be extended to cater for full B2B (business to business) functionality. This adds customer specific pricing, on-line credit checking for account customers and a self-service facility where customers can look up the sales statement and progress of their outstanding orders on the web.
