SA's largest mobile operator, Vodacom, has filled the positions of three former members of its executive team.
Portia Maurice, currently at Vodacom, has been appointed to replace Bob Collymore as chief officer for corporate affairs, effective 1 November.
Collymore left Vodacom in September to become CEO of Safaricom, in Kenya.
Maurice has a strong background in the media and telecommunications sector, most recently at the MTN Group where she served for five years.
Johan Dennelind joins the company in December, replacing Willem Swart as chief officer for International Business. Dennelind will lead and drive Vodacom's international businesses in Mozambique, Lesotho, Congo and Tanzania, as well as Gateway Carrier Services and Vodacom Business Africa.
Mpho Nkeli, currently group human resources executive at Alexander Forbes, joins the team in February 2011 to replace Lungi Ndlovu, chief officer for human resources, who will step down for health reasons.
Nkeli is director of several of the Alexander Forbes subsidiaries, as well as companies in the African Banks Investments Limited Group. She is also chairperson of the Commission for Employment Equity.
