New tech perfects projects

Most projects have two things in common - they break the budget and they are late, says Automation World.

According to the publication, new technology tools have emerged to help project managers keep their projects from slipping off the rails. The common theme in project management technology is visibility, communication and collaboration.

The goal is to let everyone involved know when things look like they're starting to slip. The idea is to catch the project before it blows the budget or bogs down in broken deadlines.

AT&T offers management apps

AT&T business customers will now be able to manage their mobile resources - field employees, vehicles, inventory, and more - using Actsoft, now available directly from AT&T, states Small Business Trends.

The Actsoft solution utilises the latest advances in GPS, mobile and Web technologies to improve workforce productivity, better manage assets, control operating costs and mitigate risk, using various mobile devices AT&T offers for businesses.

The newest addition to AT&T's Mobile Resource Management portfolio, Actsoft's suite of applications benefits any-sized business, across a range of industries.
