Wavetek Wandel Goltermann (WWG) has announced the availability of the SSE-100 Special Services Tester, a combined ISDN, Digital Leased Line and Frame Relay test solution which has been designed to speed up the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of business services. The product will be marketed in South Africa by WWG South Africa, the sole local agent for the WWG product range.
According to Rui Godinho, Product Specialist at WWG SA, the SSE-100 provides installers and maintainers with a powerful and unified testing solution for a wide range of access technologies.
"In the rapidly changing environment of the telecommunications market, engineers who are involved in providing businesses with access to networks have to support an ever increasing variety of services," says Godinho. "Engineers are required to be accomplished in multiple skills, and have to deal with numerous different instruments, often from different manufacturers, with no consistency in operation and user interface. "This can lengthen installation, commissioning, and maintenance times considerably, and places excessive demands on training, calibration and maintenance departments.
