New Vonage app slashes VOIP call costs
The Verge reports.
According to Telecom Paper, the application works over WiFi, 3G and LTE mobile data networks.
Users do not need to be Vonage customers to use the application and calls to Vonage home or business lines are also free.
Meanwhile, PC Mag reveals that Anthony Russo, director of product management for mobile apps at Vonage, said in an interview that releasing the application was designed to grow Vonage's business at home and abroad, tapping into the $90 billion international dialling market.
In addition, calls to any phone in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico from anywhere in the world will be free for a limited time, Market Watch notes.
