Nicholas Evans has been appointed Lead Business Consultant for Airborne Consulting's newly established Consulting Unit.
Evans, previously a Senior Business Consultant at THUSA, spent a year collaborating on a blue chip project with Airborne, and says during this time he recognised that Airborne was the perfect fit for him.
He says: “I believe that Airborne is the top consulting firm in South Africa, and our new Consulting Unit is going to be a huge market differentiator, delighting our clients and inspiring our competitors - it's a great opportunity for me to be actively involved in growing a very successful business even further.”
Evans has a technical background, but moved into the executive space in 1997 and since then has held a number of director level positions. Career highlights include receiving the Auditor General of South Africa's highest praise when the South African National Biodiversity Institute's IT department - under his direction as Chief Technology Officer - was acknowledged as the most process-advanced and well-managed in the public sector.
His combination of technical and business expertise was key to his appointment to head up Airborne's Consulting Unit, which provides high-end consulting around IT strategy, requirements and problem analysis, conflict resolution, and best practice implementation.
