NIL Data Communications Africa has completed its BBBEE verification process and has been awarded a level 4, QSE, rating.
BEE, or more accurately BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment), is a policy of the South African government that encourages companies to engage with activities that help black people. To achieve this, NIL has been working hard this year developing and growing its staff, providing them with the relevant training requirements, enabling them to be successful in their job roles. It has also partnered with a local non-profit organisation, called iThemba, giving it a Flip IT Cloud Solution.
iThemba provides quality foster care homes for vulnerable children and a school of excellence for children and the greater community. Located in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, iThemba is an accredited non-profit, public benefit organisation restoring hope in people's lives.
NIL has provided iThemba with a cloud education solution with all the relevant equipment, connectivity and support. This has been put into its campus, whereby the students can supplement their daily learning with access to approved South African schooling curriculum content.
Having a BEE rating gives NIL a competitive edge within the learning services, professional services and managed services space.
