Nillex due to release Redwing CS in South Africa

Johannesburg, 12 Jun 2008

Nillex Publishing has announced its core product Redwing CS is due for release on 1 July 2008. This revolutionary product will be launched in South Africa, after it was first introduced to the market in 2007.

The product, which is based on Redwing V2.0 Beta, is an e-mail application designed for Java-enabled cellphones. The product is developed by Nillex Publishing, a mobile application development company founded in 2005 with its headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Nillex Publishing's Head of Business and Chief Architect Thabo Makenete said: "It's been a long time coming and the positive feedback that the company received on Redwing V2.0 from the more than 1 000 users worldwide, made us believe that the market is ready for it."

Unlike Redwing V2.0, the 2008 version Redwing CS will not be distributed directly to users, but will be distributed through Internet service providers that provide Internet services to non-business users (home Internet users).

"The engine that the product is based on will enable ISPs to brand the product in their company logo and brand colours, says Makenete.

The news is that since Redwing CS is for home Internet users, it will not provide a Push Facility, but Nillex Publishing has confirmed that it is in the process of developing Redwing CSX, which will provide a Push Facility and connectivity to MS Exchange Server, specifically for business users.
