Nine letters could add up to a lot of Valentine love

Johannesburg, 31 Jan 2007

Nine lucky letters could add up to a lot of Valentine love for one Vodacom customer, thanks to a special bonus draw of R500 000 in the Yebo Millionaires Game Show.

In addition to the usual weekly prizes, all entries in the popular show from now until 12 noon on the eve of Valentine's Day (Tuesday 13 February) will be eligible for the bonus draw.

All Vodacom customers have to do is SMS their lucky nine letters to 32082 - and one fortunate person will celebrate this year's Valentine's Day in style!

Yebo Millionaires is Vodacom's way of saying "thank you" to its customers for their loyal support. Since the show was introduced in 2005, over half a million Vodacom customers have won airtime, cash and cellphones.

Two customers - John and Puleng* - have become instant millionaires, while another five have won R500 000 each. In addition, 26 schools all over South Africa have each received a generous gift of 10 computers, software and a server in the monthly computer centre give away to public schools.

It's easy to enter Yebo Millionaires. Nine lucky letters are sent via SMS to 32082. Letters can be repeated, and they can appear in any order. If it's the first time that a customer is entering the show, he or she will be asked to answer a simple question by return SMS. This question must be answered correctly to enable the entrant to play the game. There is no limit to the number of entries. After the first two free SMSes have been used each week, a premium rate of R1 is charged for each subsequent SMS used to enter.

A qualifying question is then asked. Once this has been correctly answered, the customer receives a confirmation SMS with the nine letters as well as a reference number and the draw date for which the entry is valid is received. The confirmation SMS must be kept as proof of entry.

On Tuesday of every week, independent auditors randomly select the winning nine letters. These are revealed during the Game Show on SABC 1 on Tuesday at 6.30pm after the Bold and the Beautiful. If an entrant's letters match the nine up on the screen, he or she will be the next Yebo Millionaire. If any other customers have chosen the same nine letters, the prize is divided up equally between them.

Those who have an eight-letter match share R200 000. For a seven-letter match, customers receive a R29 recharge voucher, while a six-letter match gets them a R12 airtime recharge voucher. Ten Motorola V3 Razr cellphones are given away in the weekly lucky draw and a Ford Fiesta motor vehicle is the prize in the monthly lucky car draw.
