Nintendo's Wii U ups the game

The Christian Post.

Unveiled this week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, known as E3, the Wii U, resembling a cross between an iPad and a conventional gaming controller, garnered positive reviews from various gaming experts.

Although several fans attested that the unveiling of Nintendo's next-generation Wii did not blow them right away, most have come to a consensus that the new console, which is Nintendo's first high-definition graphics-supporting console, will be a trend setter.

One of the intriguing features of the Wii U is that titles can be transferred from the TV to the controller's display without needing to restart the game, notes Hot Hardware.

This frees up the television for other uses. This range on this feature will be limited - Nintendo execs have said that it won't allow gamers to play across a home.

The controversy-generating Wii U controller has a 6.2-inch touch-screen and wields twin circle pads, a D-pad, shoulder buttons, twin triggers, an accelerometer, microphone, camera and a gyroscope, reveals Tech News World.

Nintendo has not yet revealed many details or pricing for the console itself, which is set to ship in 2012.
