Computek has a fully deployed and made available Satellite VMesh network connectivity to the Government Common Core Network (GCCN) for public sector clients.
The connectivity involves deployment of VSAT Hubless 3.8m dish at SITA Centurion that allows for multiple clients connectivity of their network using 2.4m dishes at respective site for a wide range of dedicated bandwidth from 64kb to greater than 100MB.

The use of satellite technology is to provide connectivity where there is no or limited coverage using traditional terrestrial or non-terrestrial services."

Van Wyk said Computek's VSAT solution is a hubless VSAT system which allows integration of a variety of applications into single network architecture - in mesh, star, or multi-star hybrid topologies and is a cost-effective "bandwidth-on-demand" service.
Computek's strategic partner for this solution is Transtel, an ACSA-licensed bandwidth provider utilising earth satellite PAS 7/10 C-band range. Early bird clients in public sector include DWAF, SITA and Limpopo Province.
