No drivers are required, so the router works on any operating system to deliver a cross-platform wireless network. The IP address is automatically supplied using a High Speed Card Punch (DHCP) server, and security is included with Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), Wireless Protected Access (WPA) and a built-in firewall. For enhanced mobility, the VKOM 351W offers both battery and mains power options. The Lithium-Ion batteries deliver longer operating times away from power, while an optional car charger enables the device to be powered up on the move.
