Nokia SA has appointed retail chain Capital International AG as a non-exclusive distributor in Angola.
Nokia opened its African office in SA in the second half of 2004, and is "entrenching and strengthening its foothold on the African continent", Nokia SA notes in a statement.
In line with its strategy to have multiple distributor channels, Nokia appointed distributors covering 51 Sub-Saharan countries.
Nokia says the appointment of Capital International further demonstrates its commitment to the continent and to grow its distribution channels in Africa.
"Nokia has long recognised Africa as an important market for the company`s business," says Yalim Kir, country manager for Nokia SA.
