Nology appoints Ingram Micro to distribute its broadband, networking solutions

Johannesburg, 21 Apr 2009

Nology, a South African distributing agent of broadband and networking solutions, has appointed Ingram Micro as an official distributor of its AirLive and Billion product ranges. Ingram Micro features a large reseller-base and the appointment will, therefore, effectively see Nology expanding its business to previously untapped areas of the South African market.

"We've been looking for a distributor to drive our networking products into the local market; Ingram Micro fits the bill perfectly as they are a large, reputable organisation that will enable us to address a larger segment of the marketplace," comments Riaan Leuschner, managing director at Nology.

"Ingram Micro features a strong logistical infrastructure with a national footprint, which will allow us to reach resellers in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban."

Says Hilton Haefele, product manager at Ingram Micro: "Our partnership with Nology and access to the AirLive and Billion brands will add to our networking exposure and provide our resellers with a greater choice of product, particularly in the SME and SOHO marketplace."

"The products will complete our portfolio and enable Ingram Micro to become a networking one-stop-shop to resellers and system integrators (SIs)."

Nology will work closely and in a co-ordinated fashion with Ingram Micro to support the company on sales leads, new product releases and expanding business throughout the South African channel. "We have a highly specialised technical team with a strong knowledge of AirLive and Billion's products and will, therefore, provide Ingram Micro and their resellers with all the assistance and support they need," comments Leuschner.

"AirLive and Billion are particularly aimed at those users that require an 'easy-to-install and use' networking product, be it for creating wireless home office or enjoying the redundancy that comes with installing a router that offers both 3G and ADSL functionality. Together with Nology, we can now provide our resellers with quality products that will enable them to make inroads into the SOHO and SME markets," adds Haefele.

The sales team from Ingram Micro has already undergone training and the company's resellers also received training during the month of February, with a follow-up training session planned during the month of May. Haefele says the company hopes to make reseller training a monthly institution, which will provide them with up-to-date information on the latest offerings and technologies from both AirLive and Billion.
