The 31st annual IT Personality of the Year awards are open for nominations.
The annual accolade will be presented by the Computer Society of South Africa (CSSA), in association with ITWeb, Gartner Africa and Gordon Institute of Business Science.
The search for the industry's most outstanding achiever starts with online nominations and voting, and attracts industry-wide participation.
The criteria to consider when nominating someone for the IT Personality of the Year award includes identifying a person who has been successful in building a respected IT organisation or business. The candidate must have made a significant technical or academic contribution to the IT industry, and addressed the development needs of the community.
The CSSA, in association with ITWeb, will also present the Visionary CIO Award, which aims to recognise an IT executive who has demonstrated visionary leadership and established best practice in using technology to support and grow business.

The winners of both awards will be announced at the CSSA Annual President's Awards Banquet to be held at St George's Hotel at Rietvlei Dam on 27 October.
