Nominations are open for the 34th annual IT Personality of the Year and Visionary CIO awards.
The annual accolades are presented by the Computer Society of South Africa (CSSA), in association with ITWeb, Gartner Africa and the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
The search for the industry's most outstanding achiever starts with online nominations and voting, and attracts industry-wide participation.
The IT Personality of the Year award recognises a person who has built a successful and respected IT organisation or business, or has made a significant technical or academic contribution to the IT industry.
The 2011 IT Personality title is held by Asher Bohbot, CEO of EOH.
The Visionary CIO Award is presented to an executive who leads ICT strategy and implementation to support and grow business.
Sandi Macfie, CIO at Southern Sun Hotels, won the Visionary CIO award for 2011.
Macfie has joined the judging panel, which is chaired by Rabelani Dagada, the newly elected president of the CSSA.
Visit the IT Personality and Visionary CIO Awards page to nominate your candidates.
The winners of both awards will be announced at the CSSA President's Awards event, to be held at Monte Casino, on 8 November.
