ACCPAC development partner, Norming Software, has announced the release of the 5.2 versions of its range of ACCPAC companion products. The new version will make a complete asset management solution by adding many new features, including asset maintenance management, and lease management and barcode tracking.
According to Bruce Li, Managing Director at Norming Software , one of the newly released modules is Norming Expense Reimbursement version 5.1.
"Expense Reimbursement is a flexible tool to streamline the employee expense booking, distribution, approval, reporting and reimbursement process," says Li. "The feature provides enhanced capabilities for all its core functions and the Web-based reimbursement request system empowers employees to book and review expenses via an Internet browser anywhere and at anytime."
On the back end, the reimbursement feature offers longer description and reference fields. It is also integrated with tax services, which means that tax groups can be attached to each individual employee. Flexible tax calculation is enabled for expense vouchers and the like.
On the front end, the reimbursement feature has been developed using Microsoft .NET frameworks and methodologies. It synchronises the front- and back-end data and offers a workflow-like configuration wizard for ease of administration and maintenance.
The Norming range also offers various security features, one of these being Norming Bank Security, which enables organisations to monitor and control the users who can see or use certain bank based on user permissions.
"Another security module is the Inventory Security facet, which enables organisations to control the user access to the Inventory Control (IC) items and locations," says Li. "The Sales Security feature is also new and enables organisations to control the user access to customers, price lists, Order Entry (OE) and sales histories."

In order to enhance the ACCPAC Advantage Series, offering a complete solution, the company has enhanced the range of products using the same technology and methodology as ACCPAC.
So far, Norming Software has released Norming Asset Management, Norming Expense Reimbursement, Norming Bank Security, Norming Inventory Security, Norming Sales Security and Norming Purchase Security. All products were developed using the ACCPAC Software Development Kit, providing 100% integration with the ACCPAC module.
