Notion Ink intros Adam tablet

2010 is considered the year of the tablet. At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Notion Ink presented the first prototype of its tablet named Adam, says UB News.

On a touchscreen of 10 inches, the definition is 1024 x 600. The technology-Pixel Qi helps to turn off the backlight to conserve battery life. The slab is topped with a 3-megapixel camera which can rotate 360 degrees.

The Adam embarks Tegra chip two and runs on the Android system version 2.1. Other strengths of the Adam Tablet are that the browser supports Flash 10.1 and the system is multitasking.

Global Access acquires Spice Retail

Bangalore-based mobile retail chain Global Access has acquired multi-brand mobile and technology retail chain Spice Retail, reports Economic Times.

Honeywell expands Dolphin 6000 line

Honeywell will expand its Dolphin 6000 product line with the introduction of the Dolphin 6500 mobile computer, a lightweight solution fit to meet in-premise needs for retail, supply chain, and other light-industrial environments, states Business Solutions.

Equipped with a large, colour touchscreen display, multiple keypad options, and the latest capabilities in data collection, imaging and communication, Honeywell says its Dolphin 6500 mobile computer has the tools necessary to increase productivity and reliability in the enterprise.

It's designed for a variety of in-store and back room operations including price checking, product lookup, inventory control, customer assistance and asset management.
