Novell has completed its acquisition of Cambridge Technology Partners and has announced a new leadership team and organisation structure to fully support e-business solutions.
The new team includes executives from both Novell and Cambridge Technology Partners. Their objective is to align Novell Net services software products with the IT services required to deploy e-business solutions.
Novell is also increasing the authority and responsibility of executives within geographic regions for close interaction and response to customers.

"We`ve been able to build a management team around proven leadership abilities, strong functional and managerial skills, and a good balance of product and services business experience. They are customer-focused and committed to making Novell a leader in delivering technology solutions - products and services - that solve business problems."
Novell has appointed four regional presidents, all from Cambridge, to manage both Novell Net services software, and Cambridge e-business services, in their respective geographies. H Carv Moore is president Novell Americas; Rhonda O`Donnell is president Novell Asia Pacific; Gerard Van Kemmel is president Novell EMEA; and Hitoshi Yoshida, is president Novell Japan.
The regional presidents report to Stewart Nelson, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Novell, who reports to Jack Messman. In addition to managing the regions, Nelson will continue managing Novell`s world-class product development organisation, with its accompanying services and solutions groups.
Within this part of the organisation is Rich Nortz, senior vice president of operations, sales and services; Marty Deise, senior vice president solutions; Craig Miller, vice president, general manager Net Management Services; and Paul Smart, vice president, general manager Net Directory Services.
In addition to Nelson, reporting directly to Messman, are the following: Ron Foster, senior vice president and Chief Financial Officer; Alan Friedman, senior vice president - people; Joe LaSala, senior vice president and General Counsel; Carl Ledbetter, senior vice president and Chief Technology Officer; Ralph Linsalata, senior vice president of venture investments; Darin Richins, vice president corporate marketing; Gary Schuster, senior vice president communications.
Also reporting directly to Messman are two subsidiary companies, Volera, Inc, a leading provider of content networking solutions, and Celerant Consulting, an operational strategy and implementation solutions provider, based in London.
"The pieces are in place for us to serve customers better and for Novell to become the networked business solutions expert," said Beytagh.
Novell`s strategy is to deliver e-business solutions that enable enterprises to restructure and integrate entire business processes, extending them across enterprise boundaries to customers and suppliers.
