Internet software leader Novell has announced that BorderManager has received two more industry awards -from Data Communications Magazine and Federal Computer Week Magazine -and has now garnered nine industry awards in just six months from around the world. BorderManager is the industry's first integrated family of directory-based network services that manages, secures and accelerates user access to information at every network border. These awards clearly demonstrate Novell's leadership and innovation in developing this new product family, which provides a comprehensive solution for businesses that need to take advantage of the Internet. The Data Communications Hot Products Award was awarded to Novell's BorderManager on the criteria of the product boasting a key technology differentiator that sets it apart from the competition. "Novell Inc. is sending notice it's serious about TCP/IP. BorderManager features a fully stocked IP toolbox, giving network managers a way to deliver IP connectivity simply, safely, and cheaply." (Data Communications, January 1998, p.33) BorderManager was also recently awarded a "Government Best Buy" from Federal Computer Week Magazine. The review gave BorderManager high marks for its security services and especially liked the innovative caching solution.
