Johannesburg-based Network Support Services (NSS) has been appointed a Business Software Solutions partner by Hewlett-Packard.
The move follows the acquisition by HP late last year of Trinagy Inc, a supplier of advanced network performance management software for enterprise and service provision customers, to augment HP`s OpenView e-services management software portfolio. Prior to the acquisition, NSS was Trinagy`s Southern Africa partner.
"The move is a good one for both HP and Trinagy customers," said NSS director Lynda Odendaal. "Integration of Trinagy capabilities with the HP OpenView portfolio provides customers with a network management solution that leapfrogs the competition."
OpenView solutions are at work in more than 135 000 multi-vendor customer environments worldwide, enabling service providers, enterprises and Internet businesses to consistently meet - and often exceed - customer expectations for service performance.
"NSS`s experience with Trinagy is greater than that of any other organisation in the sub-continent and we are committed to maintaining the highest level of service and support in the industry," said Odendaal.
"It needs to be understood that this is crucial technology. The adoption of e-business strategies places an absolute requirement on performance analysis and capacity planning," she said.
"With Open-View/Trinagy solutions, customers can maximise the performance and availability of business-critical applications and services delivered over the network. This includes the ability to identify network problems rapidly, to analyse and predict performance issues automatically before they affect services, and to project accurately in order to allocate appropriate levels of network capacity to develop new services that drive new revenues."
NSS provides services and solutions such as on-site managed services, customer-operated solutions or once-off baselines.
