NSS rolls out new Axios ITSM solution

Johannesburg, 07 Jun 2006

Leading service desk and IT service management solutions vendor, Axios Systems, has launched the next generation of its award-winning ITSM solution, assyst.

Lynda Odendaal, CEO of Axios Systems` South African business partner, NSS, says the solution, assyst 7, includes a host of new features aimed at improving the functionality and usability of its integrated solution suite, including enhanced Web functionality, unrivalled international language support, advanced workflow functionality and improved integration capability.

"assyst 7 has been developed to meet the demands of today`s enterprise market," Odendaal says. "As with previous releases, customer feedback has again been a driving force behind the solution enhancements. A large proportion of the improvements are the result of customer comments and suggestions - reinforcing an ongoing Axios commitment to addressing customers` evolving needs and market demands."

Odendaal adds that assyst 7 offers unrivalled language support. With the ability to be delivered in any language, the solution is Unicode compliant and can support complex multi-language installations.

"In addition, the enterprise will also benefit from assystConnect - a Java-based enterprise application integration (EAI) tool available with the software release," she says. This solution facilitates seamless integration of assyst with other enterprise applications such as network, HR and financial systems.

NSS has, for some time now, been positioned as one of this country`s foremost best practice evangelists - and, Odendaal says, assyst continues to be at the core of NSS` offerings. Designed from inception around the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework - internationally accepted guidelines for best practice in IT service management - assyst sits in a portfolio of Axios Systems products... Axios being the first organisation in the world to achieve BS 15000 Accreditation, now known as ISO 20000, the international standard for ITSM.
