Network Support Services (NSS) has been appointed a distributor in South Africa for the Micron Electronics computing range. Micron Electronics is the third largest direct provider of leading-edge, built-to-order computers in the United States today. Having already established the Micron server range, NetFRAME, in this country, NSS will now supply a full corporate computing solution, from notebooks, desktop PCs, and workstations to enterprise servers and networks. "Our dedicated focus has ensured ongoing success for NSS since our formation in 1995," says Lynda Odendaal, sales and marketing director of NSS. "It is this focus, and our unwavering commitment to service excellence, that secured this prestigious distributorship for us. "NSS will continue to provide fully integrated network services and solutions to the corporate market, including consultancy, network design, network maintenance and project management, " she adds. NSS also offers network maintenance, support and administration services for those companies that wish to outsource. It will ensure the smooth running of its customers` communications, including their Internet connections and e-mail. With the announcement of the new product range, NSS has firmly positioned itself to assist customers in formulating and implementing end-to-end IT strategies. It is now able to supply comprehensive, computer, network and server solutions to its customers. Annelise Nel, NSS Micron product manager, says that they will also continue to focus on services. "NSS has always given its customers personal attention, and we have also built strong relationships with a number of manufacturers, including Intel. We can therefore help our customers to plan wise long-term IT strategies. Our purpose is not just to make that first sale." NSS Micron will be selling and supporting Micron`s new Transport notebook product line, GoBook and TransPort Trek, each designed with specific customer needs in mind. The GoBook is aimed at individuals and businesses that most value the latest technology, long battery life (up to eleven hours) and light weight. The TransPort Trek is aimed at customers who need a full range of features with the most affordable price. Other new products from Micron Electronics include two desktop computers incorporating Intel`s Pentium II 350 & 400 processors, and the NetFRAME 3100 server, a powerful and reliable server designed and priced for small- to medium-sized businesses. The Micron Electronics product range is fully Year 2000 compliant.
