nVisionIT bags two Microsoft Partner of the Year awards

Johannesburg, 13 Aug 2009

nVisionIT, a Microsoft solutions provider, which prides itself on its custom software development competency, has snared two awards at Microsoft's annual Partner Awards ceremony, held in Durban recently.

nVisionIT was named the best Custom Development and Business Process/SOA Partner for 2009.

According to Helen Mills, GM at nVisionIT, in addition to the accolades, which go into its trophy cabinet, nVisionIT was also named a finalist in the Information Worker category.

“With our approach of 'build, extend, integrate', we're particularly pleased with the categories in which we emerged victorious,” says Mills. “Custom development is a competence in which we have invested substantially and where we believe the ability to add business value to our clients is key.”

Meanwhile, the related concepts of business process and services-oriented architecture (SOA) underpin many custom development projects: “So getting the nod for this category is a feather in the cap that we are proud of,” Mills notes.

With adjudication of the winners based not on a single project, but across several, Mills believes the outcome of Microsoft's Partner Awards carry more weight. “It shows that excellence is something which clients should expect from a Microsoft partner; by evaluating several projects, consistent quality must be demonstrated to impress the judges.” Mills says the competition for these accolades is tough. “The last time nVisionIT won custom development was in 2005; we're definitely pleased to have trophies back on the shelf and will strive to stay at the top.”

Part of the Notsi Group of companies and a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner, nVisionIT has demonstrated its ability to deliver solutions across a range of technologies. Another Notsi company, BUI, won two categories - Security and the Chairman's Award - bringing the total haul for the Notsi Group to four awards.

Formed in 2000, nVisionIT quickly established itself as an organisation at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions on the Microsoft platform. The company has been listed as one of South Africa's Most Promising Companies, as well as being a Technology Top 100 finalist in recent years. nVisionIT has continued to grow from strength to strength while keeping the focus of our locally-based 50+ strong team on integration and custom development. Our business is to build, extend and integrate innovative solutions on the Microsoft Platform, with a focus on financial services, government and supply chain and distribution.
