nVisionIT in BEE deal

Johannesburg, 07 Feb 2005

Black-owned Enterprise Connection has acquired 25.1% of the equity of nVisionIT, a Microsoft .NET business solutions provider.

The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

nVisionIT MD Graham van Zijl says his company has been looking for the right empowerment partner for some time.

Enterprise Connection is a provider of outsourced solutions, providing Microsoft licensing and consulting, while nVisionIT develops enterprise business solutions on the Microsoft .NET platform.

"We see significant potential for growth by providing a complete solution set to our joint base through this partnership," Van Zijl says.

The deal includes reciprocal board representation to allow for broad interaction between the companies.

Enterprise Connection director Mncedisi Mayekiso says collaboration will be encouraged at all levels to improve value delivery.

"We`ve established synergies between our organisations that will require mutual dependency to open up new opportunities," he adds. "Our growth potential will be significantly improved through this effort."

He says nVisionIT`s development, mid-market enterprise resource planning and business competencies are needed to complement Enterprise Connection`s IT infrastructure offering.

"The combined company can deliver more complete solutions to the customer. While at present hardware revenues dominate, we are aiming to increase the software portion to better balance our revenue mix."

Mayekiso says the deal has already resulted in one government customer win worth R6.2 million and a number of JSE-listed companies are evaluating proposals worth R25.5 million.
