OCBC Bank deploys SunGard`s business integration

ensemble, a provider business and technology solutions for the finance industry and distributor of selected SunGard solutions, has announced that OCBC has chosen SunGard`s business integration MINT Knowledge Solution for its enterprise application integration (EIA) architecture.

"The MINT knowledge solution aids a speedier `time-to-market` providing OCBC bank with a more unified environment for efficient straight-through processing of financial transactions. This applies to its , customer relationship management and cash management products,` explains Richard Shaw, director of ensemble.

OCBC Bank`s range of eCommerce product offerings includes TX123, a B2B portal joint venture with Singapore Computer Systems, eSolutions, a series of Bolero.net enabled electronic world trade system; and finatiq, Asia`s first independent virtual bank.

"By using MINT, we are able to remove point-to-point connections and implement an architectural blueprint to standardise interface mechanisms - all without affecting the existing interfaces," adds Teng Soon Lang, head of Information Technology of OCBC bank. "The solution will help avoid having to modify programs whenever any interface is affected, thus reducing effort and enhancing the quality of the interface."
