Oc'e introduces itself to marketplace

Johannesburg, 08 Dec 2003

[VIDEO]A merger in June between Oc'e Minolta and Oc'e Printing Systems saw the creation of a new entity, Oc'e SA, that brings products and commercial printing to the marketplace.

Last week, Oc'e held an open house for its business partners to let them know what the new company has to offer.

[VIDEO]"We want to let them know, here we are, a new company, and we`re keen and excited," says Keith Dix-Peek, MD of Oc'e. "We have increased our offering; it`s now much broader and we can now really cover any solution."

Pierre La Grange, divisional manager at DDS, which distributes Oc'e`s printing solutions, stresses that it is essential for companies to retain control and management over their documents, and that Oc'e`s range of products caters for this. "We now offer the widest range of solutions that anyone can supply you with anywhere in the world," he says.

[VIDEO]He attributes the company`s sound document management philosophy to the processes that they went through to develop it. "We have been talking to customers about best practice for documents," he says. "We`ve looked at commercial and corporate clients, and found the synergies between the two."

He explains the reasons behind the Oc'e open house: "We are introducing Oc'e to the industry. This is essentially to say this is the merger, and this is what has come out of it."

[VIDEO]As part of the open house, customers were shown some of the printing technologies that Oc'e has on offer.
