Oc'e launches state-of-the-art production copier and printer

Johannesburg, 13 Aug 2001

Minolco`s Oc'e division recently introduced the Oc'e DPS 400, a revolutionary high volume production copier and printer, which delivers 101 pages per minute, to the corporate and print-on-demand market.

Based on Oc'e`s award-winning high volume copier and printer technology, the Oc'e DPS 400 combines a scanner and printer with a unique operator console that affords operators more flexibility and control over their production environments.

According to Pierre la Grange, Business Unit Manager: Oc'e Document Printing Systems, with the Oc'e DPS 400, achieving great results has never been easier.

"The Oc'e DPS 400 is designed to eliminate time-consuming job preparation and scanning. It can produce any length run at full speed, whether it`s printing, copying or scanning," he says.

Further, from photos, plain text and grey values, to colour originals, the Oc'e DPS 400 prints more than 6 000 images per hour, without any manual adjustments.

"This is as a result of Oc'e`s Image Logic technology," explains La Grange.

"The quality of scanned originals is automatically enhanced, allowing the machine to scan at a rated speed (a speed that`s often triple that of comparable systems)."

The Oc'e DPS 400 also introduces a groundbreaking `operator-oriented` design, which affords operators the control and ability to programme even the most complex jobs.

"We are confident that the Oc'e DPS 400 will meet the needs of the current market and look forward to introducing new workflow strategies in the future," concludes La Grange.
