Oc'e South Africa is looking to expand the JetStream series of printers across the country, following the recent success of the product range at international media services provider, Arvato Services, which has increased value to its client base after recently installing the state-of-the-art printing system.
Arvato Services, which is a world-renowned solutions provider for customer communication, supply chain management and financial services, recently adopted the Oc'e JetStream 1000 printing system by October 2010, to assist the company in improving its services in high-volume mailing campaigns, direct mailings and direct addressing.
Oc'e South Africa national product manager for digital document solutions, Neil Kotze, points out that the Oc'e range of JetStream printers deliver top-quality output with an industry-leading standard resolution of 600x600 dpi, combined with multilevel inkjet technology, that gives an appearance of 1 200 dpi quality.
“This resolution sets a new benchmark for quality at an output speed of up to 150 metres per minute. What's more, this innovative technology sets the Oc'e JetStream series apart from its competitors for best-in-class colour print quality, which surpasses conventional continuous inkjet technology,” he explains.
“The advantages are immediately obvious,” says Oliver Engelking, Business Development Manager Mail & Document Solutions at Arvato. “Our customers can profit from the new service immediately, since we now have the possibility of printing personalised mailings utilising full-colour continuous feed printing without having to pre-produce the graphical elements in offset. This makes us considerably more flexible, faster and less expensive - in spite of bigger digital print runs. Moreover, the print quality of the Oc'e JetStream is very good,” he continues.
Kotze notes that the Oc'e JetStream 1000 is one of the most flexible full-colour printing systems in the continuous feed area for transaction printing, direct mailing and transpromo applications. “The system operates with a processing speed of 75 metres, or 1 010DIN A4 pages, per minute, and is designed to handle monthly printing volumes of 10 to 24 million pages, with production peaks of up to 30 million pages,” he continues.

Kotze adds that the JetStream systems are based on the scalable Oc'e SRA MP controller, enabling high speed, uninterrupted workflow for AFP/IPDS data streams and full-colour digital printing, and the ability to grow to support future needs.
