Ocular Technologies CEO appointed as CCMG chairman

Johannesburg, 08 Aug 2012

Pommie Lutchman, CEO at contact centre solutions provider, Ocular Technologies, has been appointed as chairman of the Contact Centre Management Group (CCMG) South Africa advisory board.

The CCMG is an initiative set up to grow, develop, mentor and transform the middle management layer of the contact centre industry. It offers a forum for contact centre professionals from across a vast number of industries to gather for exceptional learning, peer-to-peer sharing, and to discover the latest technologies and solutions available to run their contact centres as efficiently and effectively as possible.

“As chairman, my role is to advise the CCMG on direction, strategy, new business and focus within the South Africa contact centre industry. The advisory board also provides a knowledge base for members of the CCMG, offering expert advice on queries ranging from industry statistics, trends and analysis, to staffing issues and technology insights,” says Lutchman.

CCMG members include management professionals from organisations with inbound or outbound contact centres, outsourcers, users of teleservices, trainers, consultants, technology, and service providers. As an organised body of knowledge and strategy, the CCMG aims to provide its members with the tools they need to enrich and improve their professional careers and their customers' experiences.

“An integral part of managing your professional career is staying on top of industry news and trends, as well as networking with industry peers. CCMG membership provides the opportunity to excel professionally, have access to continuous learning and to network with peers to share successes and lessons learnt.

“By becoming a member of the CCMG, you are joining the ranks of individuals who are committed to advancing their knowledge of the contact centre industry, and empowering themselves to enhance their business and careers. In addition, membership of the CCMG provides an unparalleled opportunity to be stimulated and inspired by a wide range of initiatives and innovations, as well as a chance to meet and network with leading specialists and experts in the contact centre industry across South Africa and globally,” adds Lutchman.
