OKI Printing Solutions has proudly announced its strongest quarter one sales figures for the A3 colour laser segment to date, an event which has resulted in the vendor once again staking its claim to the number two position for A3 colour laser printers in EMEA and simultaneously increasing its market share to 29%.
This is according to international analyst, IDC, which furthermore rated OKI as the number one player in the A3 colour laser segment for 10 regions in EMEA.
Neil Rom, managing director of OKI Printing Solutions South Africa, says the increase in OKI's market share is an awesome testament to hard work and dedication the company has put in across all regions over the past year.
"While our market share figures for EMEA now reside at the 29% mark, the 239% growth we experienced for the same quarter year on year is far more significant. That's 13 times the growth rate of our nearest competitor," he enthuses.
Rom says the latest sales figures for A3 colour lasers also confirm that close to one-third of the A3 colour laser printers sold in EMEA today come from OKI.
"And at this stage, it looks like the only direction for OKI is up," he chuckles.
While OKI is 100% reliant on the channel to fulfil customers' requirements, Rom says OKI cannot attribute this new level of success to its partners alone.
"Over and above the excellent job our partners have done in driving OKI's printing solutions to market, they have had an absolutely awesome product backing them.
"The C8600, our new entrant into the A3 colour laser space, is a real powerhouse and upon launch immediately made our competitors nervous. With this printer family due to be bolstered by a new unit, namely the C8800 later this month, we will have an even stronger value proposition in the A3 colour laser market for the next quarter.
"We have our eyes firmly set on the number one position and remain committed to arriving there," he adds.
"I'm convinced with the awesome product line-up, excellent partner support and healthy market interest we've garnered over the past year, this will be a goal we will achieve shortly," he concludes.
