With the move towards a multifunctional equipment, Olivetti Lexikon has further enhanced its multifunctional products line with the introduction of the Jet-Lab 600. This nifty machine incorporates a fax, colour printer and scanner in a single compact device.
The Jet-Lab 600 is capable of performing multiple tasks at the same time, which means that it can print high-resolution documents while sending or receiving a fax from memory.
"To simply say that the Jet-Lab 600 is an innovative multifunctional ink-jet fax, does not give a full picture of this machine`s awesome capabilities," says Olivetti managing director, Nicola Medovic.
"As a fax, the Jet-Lab 600 has an automatic document feeder, where several originals are automatically fed from for either transmitting or copying purposes, and has
14, 400 bps," he explains, this is the speed of signals sent across a telephone line, measured in seconds.
As a copier, the Jet-Lab 600 handles all types of paper, with a copy speed of 50 pages per minute. It can also be used as a colour or black and white copier, independent of the PC.
The colour ink-jet printer function offers a top speed of seven pages per minute in black and white and three pages per minute in colour.
The high performance colour scanner has a 300 x 300 dpi resolution, and 64 shades of grey, that ensures sound reproduction of images and text definition.
This multifunctional device can also transmit e-mails, enabling users to send e-mails anywhere in the world.
The Jet-Lab 600 also has a built-in telephone with major features like a directory, distinctive ringing tones and cordless phone.
The Jet-Lab 600 has a large megabyte memory and automated transmission features, which delivers all the functions and services of a professional, dedicated fax machine.
"Its memory stores large documents, which then gets circulated to as many as 50 addresses, either immediately or at a later time," says Medovic.
The Jet-Lab 600 has full compatibility with the Windows 95 and 98 operating systems. It hosts features in a stylish body that is compact and is targeted at the home office users.
