Omnix Live is a Web-based SaaS offering that enables contractors and tower operators to access best-practice project and property management functionality without the need for any upfront software or hardware investment.

Omnix Live customers benefit from best-practice business processes, pre-configured to support rapid deployment. Contractors will benefit from increased efficiency, enabling delivery of projects with tighter control of margins and improved communication and progress reporting to their operator clients.

Canadian company Bird Construction has selected Viewpoint V6 Software to integrate and enhance the company's financial and operational systems while sharing data across branch offices in real-time, writes Market Watch.

Viewpoint's suite of integrated applications for pre-construction, project management, document management, job cost, accounting, finance and HR will improve efficiency and support continued growth.

"Demanding customers require sophisticated reporting," says Arthur Krehut, construction manager, Bird Construction. "Viewpoint will help us be more in tune with our customers and have the real-time data and reports we need to manage the work more precisely."

Software company Newforma says engineering firms which recently purchased Newforma Project Center are basing their investments on the software's fit with AEC project workflows, states Cloud Computing Journal.

Two representative firms - Project Consulting Services and McGoodwin, Williams, and Yates - say Newforma's project information management (PIM) solution best meets their requirements for controlling document workflow and managing project content because it's built specifically to enhance the project execution work processes that are most commonly used in the AEC industry.

For example, PCS provides oil and gas pipeline engineering, project management, field inspection and materials traceability services across the US. Its CFO Charles Petrey said: "PCS determined that Newforma was built by and for the architecture and engineering profession, and best meets our functionality requirements to control document flow and content.
