Omtool has announced that Fax Sr 3.0, the latest version of its network fax server solution for the enterprise, has received a Network Magazine 1999 Product of the Year Award in the Network Faxing category.
Among the thousands of new products introduced in 1998, Network Magazine`s editors chose Fax Sr as one of 38 that stand out from the competition. An earlier version of Fax Sr. won in 1998, making this the second consecutive year Omtool received this honour.
Network Magazine`s editors selected Fax Sr 3.0 as a Product of the Year because of its ability to save large companies time and money with its global routing feature. They were also impressed with features, including the ability to set fax priority, and its remote access capability, which allows users to send and receive faxes through a Web browser.

Fax Sr provides Microsoft Management Console (MMC) and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) management and offers users a variety of fax options such as the ability to attach native documents, send broadcast faxes, create custom cover pages, add billing codes, view and analyse a detailed log of faxes and resend failed faxes with a mouse-click.
Omtool is represented in South Africa by NT software specialist Server Tools, a subsidiary of Dimension Data.
