One size does not fit all

Tarsus Technologies has launched the latest range of HP desktop computers designed to deliver a customised mix of value and performance to meet the requirements of a variety of users.

"The HP Compaq Business Desktop range permits users to match specific demands for quality, reliability and performance with the right PC models and configurations," says Andr'e Wollheim, HP product manager at Tarsus. "This broad portfolio of business PCs offers value in every product class at the time of purchase as well as over the life of the product."

Medium and large enterprises seeking stability and manageability can take advantage of the HP Compaq Business Desktop d530 series. "With various form factor and configuration possibilities, the d530s will slot into any workspace with the lowest overall lifecycle costs," states Wollheim.

While all the new models offer ergonomic comfort and easy serviceability, the d530 series also offers a common software image across several chassis styles, enabling consistent, simplified deployment and manageability.

The solution, for customers looking for even simpler management and guaranteed uptime, may lie in HP`s new thin client family, available in the Evo T20 and T30 models.

These network-connected clients link up to a central processing server, improving application deployment, simplifying client architectures and reducing hardware-maintenance pressures and costs.

For medium-sized corporates that want proven technology, price/performance and a wide choice of features, HP has developed the d330 series. These PCs are ready to go out of the box, while still allowing users to expand as required. The d330 offers the same level of quality and stability as the d530, but has a shorter lifecycle.

For a balance of price, performance and essential computing capabilities, SMEs can choose the Compaq Evo D310v desktop - an entry-level, great quality, low-cost PC available in simple configurations.

"Each of these PCs offer a broad selection of performance levels, with a choice of either high-performance Intel Pentium 4 processors or value-based Intel Celeron processors," adds Wollheim. "Tarsus will also be supplying a broad range of accessories to complement the desktops, from memory sticks, memory upgrades and wireless LAN solutions, to multi-monitor support and HP`s MultiBay accessories.

"The latest range of PCs from HP offer more than just the right product at the right price," Wollheim concludes. "Integral to the design was the customer`s requirement for reduced costs, increased availability, security, the ability to integrate new technologies as they are delivered and to optimise the systems over time - all with a firm eye on keeping the total cost of ownership down."
