The Faculty of ICT at the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria is conducting a research project to determine the future role of chief information officers (CIOs), chief technical officers (CTOs) and chief knowledge officers (CKOs) in South African organisations and companies.
The survey aims to find out what contribution ICT executives can make by becoming change leaders/agents in their companies and organisations.
The research will also determine the competencies required for this role in the South African context. The research is conducted by Dr Jannie Zaaiman, dean of the faculty of ICT, and Dr Nina Evans, head of the Department of Business Applications and IT Management.
The CIO focus group discussions, organised by TechnoScene (Pty) Ltd, have been held with prominent ICT leaders in South African companies and organisations in all major cities in SA.
To enable more CIO, CKOs and CTOs to participate, the survey has been made available online and runs until 26 April 2005.
The results of the survey will be available to all participants without linking the responses to any individual or organisation.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Dr Jannie Zaaiman at zaaimanjj@tut.ac.za. If you have any technical difficulties in answering the survey (eg you cannot access a field) please e-mail Erez Greenberg at erez@peoplesurveys.co.za
