Onsight mobile sales app from Maxxor helps companies increase sales, speed service

The Onsight mobile sales app developed by Cape Town-based software development company Maxxor is helping local and international companies to increase sales and improve efficiency.

Onsight is first and foremost an electronic product catalogue that companies can use to showcase their products to clients. This is a great tool for travelling sales reps to show customers high-quality images of their products from various angles, in real-life settings and with detailed descriptions.

The Onsight sales app has given companies control of their sales and catalogues, with a custom PDF catalogue generator. If a salesperson wants to showcase products to a specific client, but is unable to meet with them in person, a professional-looking PDF catalogue can be e-mailed to them. No more need to use a separate technology to create a good-looking online catalogue, and no more struggling to e-mail large files.

Another customisable feature of Onsight is the ability to change currencies as you please; also, only certain products and prices can be activated, depending on the customer that the catalogue is being shown to.

Onsight is being used at trade shows by companies like Aurora Experience in Canada and KopCup in Denmark to show their entire range of products, without needing to take all of their products to the event. Siggi Helgason, owner of Aurora Experience, says he is especially pleased to "show visitors how my products are used in a real setting".

Maxxor's mobile sales app has many time- and cost-saving benefits. While traditional paper catalogues are often difficult and costly to keep up to date, an electronic product catalogue such as Onsight only requires a few minutes to upload as well as update. New products which are added are automatically synced to all connected devices via the cloud, which means customers always see the latest products available.

Aside from all of the other benefits, getting rid of paper catalogues is also environmentally responsible since less paper usage equals less waste. On the subject of paperwork, Onsight also enables sales reps to shorten their ordering process. Onsight's order-taking system is one of the things that attracted people like Serdar Arslan (from Bosphore Sales in Canada) to the app. As soon as an order is placed on the app, a PDF e-mail is sent to head office, where it can be immediately processed for delivery. Hence, orders can be sent out and handled while sales reps are on the road. Less time spent driving back to the office means more time to make valuable sales.

One of the latest features to be added is Customer Login. Customers are given a login that provides them limited access within the app to browse a company's product catalogue at their own pace and place orders that are sent directly to the company. Customers now get to order without needing a sales rep by their side, and sales reps reduce their travelling when it comes to regular, trusted customers.

Companies currently using the Onsight sales suite come from a variety of industries, including jewellery, pharmaceutical, food distribution, lighting, clothing and home d'ecor (to name but a few). Onsight's ability to provide features that suit all of them make it a valuable product.
