Open Text Corporation and IXOS SOFTWARE AG recently showcased the breadth of their joint enterprise content management (ECM) solutions at the AIIM Expo 2004 in New York for the first time since the companies combined to form the largest global provider of ECM software.
The deal, concluded in February, enabled Open Text to bring together its broad suite of ECM capabilities, with the ECM solutions of IXOS and Gauss Interprise. The new venture boasts more than 13 000 customer deployments, almost 20 million users and up to $450 million in projected revenue for Fiscal 2005. Open Text and IXOS solutions are available in SA through IT infrastructure and solutions provider, Datacentrix.
"The AIIM Expo 2004 came at a time when the market for ECM software is growing fast as large organisations look to better manage business content to optimise processes, reduce costs and comply with the new global information regulatory environment," says Rob Shaw, product marketing manager at Datacentrix.
