
Open Text outlines 2010 roadmap
Enterprise content management firm Open Text, has detailed its product roadmap for next year, revealing new Web content management, digital asset management, and social media solutions, says V3.
The company explains that despite the recession, it will refresh most of its solutions adding tools and processes that can help to streamline and improve business.
Scott Bowen, senior vice-president at Open Text, says: "The expectations for the Web have evolved. A successful enterprise 2.0 strategy must consider social media, mobile devices and brand consistency, all while managing massive amounts of content in a range of formats.”
eZ-Systems appoints CEO
Open source content management company eZ-Systems has appointed former IBM and BEA executive Christoph Rau as its new CEO, states PR Web.
Rau brings 25 years of management experience from the international IT and software industry. He takes over the CEO position from co-founder Aleksander Farstad, who will become chief business development officer.
Farstad says the decision to welcome Rau as a new CEO is a strategic decision for eZ-Systems.
EMC to gather in Athens
EMC has revealed that the EMC Momentum conference, which will be held from 9 to 12 November in Greece, is the largest gathering of industry experts in enterprise content management, reports Reuters.
More than 1 000 attendees will come together in Athens to discuss and learn about innovations in content management and archiving compliance.
During that time, EMC will also be holding its second annual partner conference, which will feature business and technical tracks enabling partners to grow their business.
