HP`s new Deskjet 1280, replacing the very successful 1220, now offers a number of features that build on the tradition of its predecessor, such as a low-ink warning, a cancel print button and a removable rear panel for accessing jammed paper.
Distributed by Rectron, the Deskjet 1280 allows users to print up to 11ppm in black and white and 14 in colour at 600dpi (black) and 4 800dpi PhotoREt III (colour).
The printer also features a low-ink warning designed to help businesses and individual users maintain optimal print quality and avoid running out of ink unexpectedly. When either the black or colour print cartridge begins to run low on ink, a message displays indicating the remaining ink level.
Adds Zandr'e Rudolph, HP business development manager at Rectron: "You can even configure this warning to provide you with details about the vendor nearest to you or preferred by you."
The HP Deskjet 1280 printer is designed to handle a variety of paper options. The 150-sheet input tray can handle media up to 135g/m2 while the straight paper path lets you print on thick media up to 280g/m2 for report covers, business cards, mailers, tent cards, certificates and brochures without worrying about ink smearing or media curling or crinkling as it passes through the printer.
"Plus, with the HP Deskjet 1280 printer, you can add A3+, poster-sized colour printing to your business material without adding to your budget. HP`s low running-cost colour printer is designed to deliver quality colour output at an affordable price," he concludes.
