Optio Software releases intelligent document capture solution

SPI, the African distributor for Optio Software, today announced its new imaging solution, ProCentra Intelligent Document Capture (IDC).

ProCentra IDC's innovative Fingerprint technology quickly 'learns' and recognises the individual characteristics of various documents, such as invoices and purchase orders.

Fingerprinting uniquely identifies specific data formats and logos, so that once a document is scanned and fingerprinted, similar formats are recognised on-the-fly.

ProCentra IDC maximises the efficiencies of document automation by accelerating document-matching processes and significantly reducing manual indexing across the enterprise.

With ProCentra IDC's 'install-and-go' functionality, minimal set up is required to get started, which means that customers should realise a reduction in document processing costs right away.

Lower long-term cost of ownership

Optio's recent addition to the ProCentra suite utilises libraries of pre-developed business rules that can be easily configured by non-programmers using an intuitive point-and-click interface.

Reusable business rules result in accelerated data extraction and a lower long-term cost of ownership for customers.

ProCentra IDC expands upon the proven technology of Datacap, Inc, a Tarrytown, New York-based software provider with more than 18 years of experience dedicated solely to the development and delivery of image and data capture solutions.
