Mercury Interactive Corp., the leading provider of enterprise testing and application performance management software, and Oracle Corp., the world`s largest enterprise software company, announced today the availability of a Test Starter Kit based on Mercury Interactive technology, which consists of reusable test plans and scripts developed by Oracle`s engineering organization for customer testing of Oracle E-Business Suite.
Oracle`s Test Starter Kit will help customers using Mercury Interactive`s enterprise testing software accelerate and improve their initial deployments and upgrades, and lower the total cost of ownership of Oracle E-Business Suite. Beginning with release 11.5.7 Rapid Install, Oracle will distribute the Test Starter Kit to every Oracle E-Business Suite customer.
Mercury Interactive is also announcing immediate availability of an Oracle 11i Upgrade Package consisting of its performance testing, functional and regression testing and test management software, as well as Mercury Interactive`s expert consulting services. Used in conjunction with the Test Starter Kit, the Oracle 11i Upgrade Package will allow customers to reduce the time it takes to implement or upgrade their Oracle E-Business Suite, and will provide them with re-usable testing assets-saving additional time in subsequent upgrades. In addition, Oracle will promote Mercury Interactive`s enterprise testing software to its customers, channels and system integrator partners as the preferred solution for automated regression testing and load testing of Oracle E-Business Suite.
"We are pleased to allow our customers to leverage our internal test scripts and plans in their own in-house testing efforts, making it easier for them to reap the benefits of the Oracle E-Business Suite quickly, and with minimal risk," said Cliff Godwin, senior vice president of application technology at Oracle. "Mercury Interactive`s testing software helps allow our customers to assess application readiness, improve performance, accelerate deployment and helps to ensure the success of applications that directly impact their businesses."
As a Certified Solution Partner, Mercury Interactive receives a high level of service, R&D support and training from Oracle, along with early access to the latest Oracle releases. As a result, Oracle customers can leverage the tight integration of Mercury Interactive`s enterprise testing software to verify the functionality and scalability of their Oracle applications within the context of their in-house infrastructure.
"Partnering so closely with Oracle ensures that our customers will have access to market-leading testing software tightly integrated with the Oracle E-Business Suite," said Jonathan Rende, vice president product marketing at Mercury Interactive. "We are very pleased to have been chosen to partner with Oracle on the Test Starter Kit and to offer Oracle customers the Oracle 11i Upgrade Package to help reduce migration time and get the most from their investments in Oracle E-Business Suite."
