Oracle Corporation has announced the Oracle Exchange Partner Initiative (OEPI) in a move to increase online B2B collaboration and leverage expertise between Oracle Exchange Partners. Thirty Oracle Exchange partners have agreed to participate to-date.
"OEPI partners are divided into four specific areas: commerce; enablement; business services; and portal services," says Yvette Whitehead, Exchange product manager for Oracle SA.
"Partners provide their services - which are integrated into the Oracle Exchange platform - to buyers, suppliers and exchange operators worldwide."
The commerce component of OEPI, with partners such as ABN AMRO, Citibank and Wells Fargo already signed on, is centred on transactions, including payment, financing, escrow, security and trust services. The enablement arm focuses on such offerings as catalogue management, customer support, supply chain, logistics and product development support.
Current partners include Ironside Technologies, Mercator, Advanced Data Exchange and web-Methods.
The business services component provides B2B expertise from companies like Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and Pricewaterhouse-Coopers.
Offerings include business incubation, planning, alliances and system integration. The portal services component provides news feeds (and other content management) and wireless applications. Partners include Autonomy, Factiva, iSyndicate, Work.com and YellowBrix.
