Oracle SA has appointed Kelvin Reynolds, a former director of Siltek Distribution Dynamics, to head up its drive into the local reseller channel.
Reynolds will replace John Ogle who has been on secondment from Oracle EMEA. Oracle recently launched a number of channel initiatives worldwide and Reynolds` appointment is in line with a planned increased commitment to local business partners.
Reynolds has held a number of key positions in IT distribution companies and is considered one of the most experienced executives in this field.
He recently worked at the Pin-Point group on a consulting basis, helping give direction to the company`s Skill Works initiative. There will therefore not be a successor to Reynolds at Pin-Point.
"Oracle is serious about the channel, both internationally and in SA, and plans to apportion an ever bigger slice of overall revenue to and through appropriate channel partners," says Reynolds.
