Oracle announced the release of three communications industry process integration packs, at Oracle OpenWorld 2007, in San Francisco.

The company describes the packs as pre-built, sustainable integrations across its Siebel Customer Relationship Management, Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management, and Oracle Financials applications.

The solutions, dubbed Order-to-Bill Integration Pack for Communications; Agent-Assisted Billing Care Integration Pack for Communications; and Revenue Accounting Integration Pack for Communications, are designed to help streamline the order to billing process, boost call centre productivity, improve financial data accuracy and assist with regulatory compliance.

According to Bhaskar Gorti, senior VP and GM of Oracle communications, the three packs are the first of several application integration architecture deliverables for the communications industry. They will assist users to respond to fast-changing market dynamics with greater speed and agility, he says.

The packs are the industry`s first cross-application business process integration platforms, Gorti adds.

"Oracle Application Integration Architecture for Communications is a complete, out-of-the-box offering that allows users to quickly bring new service offerings to market and provide enhanced customer service through a single set of Siebel CRM user views. Customer services employees can then address billing and order enquiries in real-time.

"By combining our end-to-end Oracle communications applications suite with the power of Oracle Fusion Middleware, we can help service providers minimise risk and reduce systems integration and application maintenance costs, while accelerating time to market for new, next-generation services.

"The pre-built integrations provide a flexible, standards-based framework that service providers can easily extend to meet all unique business needs," concludes Gorti.
