TransGlobe, Union sign agreement
TransGlobe, a Canadian VOIP provider, has announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Union Information Systems, an ECM specialist. The agreement gives TransGlobe exclusive rights to distribute Union's ECM software in North and South America, explains TransGlobe in a statement.
"There's a lot of consolidation going on in the market: IBM just bought Filenet, and Open Text acquired Hummingbird. We feel we will be in a great position to capitalise on widespread adoption of this software into 2008. This move will give us leverage in merging with other ECM-related companies," says Sandy Oh, president of TransGlobe.
"The Academus Web Content Management system provides us with an easy and efficient means of updating and maintaining our site so that it becomes the go-to resource for important and timely academic, administrative, and general campus information," he adds.
