An Open Day to be held at Oracle South Africa on Thursday, 6 May will showcase the company`s business application software set, Oracle E-Business Suite. The event is designed to give members of the business community a full view of all Oracle`s business software.
"These days the decision to invest in information technology lies with the CEO, or managing director of any company, irrespective of its size," says Deon Els, Oracle Director - Channel Alliances and Sales. "This Open Day will give business decision-makers from companies across various industries an opportunity to investigate the business benefits of software, from financials to human resources to supply chain and logistics. Visitors will also have an opportunity to network and discuss common challenges they face with regard to IT in business."
Visitors to Open Day, which will be hosted at Oracle`s head office in Midrand, will be able to see Oracle`s products in action, with demonstrations from Oracle and some of its main partners.
"Many medium and smaller enterprises are unaware that business software that was, in the past, designed for very large organisations, is now available for businesses of any size," Els continues. "Oracle is one of many large companies that are packaging their software in such a way to make it affordable and easy to install, yet robust and supportive of business best practice.
"Oracle Open Day will profile our applications and partner network like never before," says Els. "We`ll also demonstrate the often-unknown features and secrets of Oracle applications. The exhibitors will open visitors` minds to the relevance of our solutions across a variety of business sectors and highlight the flexibility of our small, medium and large business solutions. "Attendance at Open Day is free, and visitors can pre-register on http://www.oracle.com/start/ and type in the password: zaopenday.
